Scratch Art Animals
Criteria
-Must have a picture of an animal (reptiles, birds, mammals, etc.) It should be a full page (at least a 5x7 image). The best place to find it is Google Images so you can print it in black and white and make it an appropriate size
-May use transfer method demonstrated (white chalk) or free-hand draw with chalk. The animal must fill the scratch paper.
-Must show several (at least 4) values in portrait using scratching techniques demonstrated in class. (hatching, crosshatching, etc.) Use the exacto knife as instructed.
-Must follow safety measures and use knives properly.
-Must use good craftsmanship…don’t get fingerprints all over paper! The less you touch it the better. When finished, lightly dust paper with damp towel.
